Planned Gifts: There are a number of Planned Giving options such as gifts of securities, life insurance policies and more.  You will want to speak with your lawyer or financial planner about what makes sense for you.

A Bequest From Your Estate Through Your Will: Once you have determined your gifts to family and those closest to you, you may consider naming a charity recipient as a beneficiary in your Will to minimize the taxes your estate will pay and maximize  impact of your donation.  You will want to speak with your lawyer or financial planner about what makes sense for you.

However, it can also be as simple as adding wording to your Will such as:

 “I give ($ or %) of my estate to Autism Home Base Durham Inc., Clarington, Ontario to provide funding for the ongoing activities of the organization as determined by the Board of Directors.  Tax ID 81352 5797 RR0001”
