donor advised funds (DAF)
a Charitable Savings Account you use to manage giving during your lifetime
A Donor-Advised Fund DAF) is the fastest-growing giving method and a simple, tax-efficient and flexible way to support one or more causes you care about.
A DAF is a charitable giving account established at a public foundation, known as a DAF provider. When you make a charitable contribution of cash, stocks, securities or other assets to the DAF, you receive an immediate tax receipt from your DAF provider. From there, you can recommend grants to charities like Autism Home Base. Many Canadian donors use DAFs to give strategically, manage tax planning and simplify their philanthropic giving.

Planned Giving
charitable giving from your estate or as part of your Annual financial and tax plan
Your opportunity to make a dramatic lasting difference to the lives of Autistic adults.
Planned Annual Gifts: There are a number of Planned Giving options such as gifts of cash, securities, life insurance policies or assets. Speak with your financial planner about what makes best sense for you.
A Bequest From Your Estate Through Your Will: Once you have determined estate gifts to those closest to you, you may consider naming a charity recipient as a beneficiary in your Will to minimize the taxes your estate will pay and while leaving a lasting legacy. You’ll want to consult your lawyer of course, though it can be as simple as adding wording to your Will such as:
“I give ($XX or xx %) of my estate to Autism Home Base Durham Inc., Clarington, Ontario to provide funding for the ongoing activities of the organization as determined by the Board of Directors. Tax ID 81352 5797 RR0001”
If a PLANNED GIFT is something you’re considering, we would be happy to speak with you about your wishes and intentions. Contact Judy Hanson, CEO at 289-278-3489 ext. 1 or by email to [email protected]
